Start of the year in the alfalfa export sector
At the start of 2020, Spain established itself as the world’s 2nd largest exporter of dehydrated alfalfa, where 83% of the production was exported to foreign markets. For this New Year the forecasts are not as favourable since the sector closed December with a steep decline in comparison with the same period of the previous year. The main drawback that we have been noticing since the summer is the logistic difficulties caused by the pandemic, which from Nafosa we expect will improve in 2021.
